Let's build the industry of the future together

A Think Tank to understand, structure, and guide action

AFNeT leads a collective reflection space dedicated to fostering a shared understanding of the challenges related to digital, ecological, and energy transitions across industrial sectors. It organises meetings, workshops, and working groups to build a common culture among stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

This foundational work helps structure emerging topics, clarify concepts, and identify actionable levers. It relies on an intersectoral approach: cross-industry insights (from aerospace, rail, nuclear, etc.) encourage the dissemination of good practices and the emergence of collective solutions.

In close collaboration with its members, AFNeT initiates collaborative dynamics that pave the way for large-scale projects. This Think Tank shapes the strategic roadmap of the ecosystem and ensures alignment with industrial priorities and regulatory frameworks.

A Do Tank to implement concrete, interoperable projects

AFNeT operates as part of a Think Tank / Do Tank ecosystem. Its workstreams emerge from the needs expressed by its members and follow a four-step cycle: terminology clarification (educational sessions), feedback from real-world use cases (industrial case studies), deliverable production, and practical implementation (collective projects).

When a topic reaches sufficient maturity, it can give rise to a Do Tank project. These projects are led in partnership with various operators, depending on the expertise required. Governance remains industry-driven and open to shared contributions.

Projects build on consolidated knowledge. They aim to deliver tangible, reusable outputs for the sectors: benchmarks, prototypes, standards, recommendations, and tools. This move into action anchors the reflection in industrial reality and contributes to the competitiveness, digital continuity, and sustainability of industrial sectors.
